Border Patrol agents apprehended a man for attempting to smuggle 10 Mexican nationals Thursday.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, two suspicious vehicles were spotted driving east on Apache Pass Road near Bowie, Ariz. Agents stopped one of the vehicles and after talking to the front passenger it was determined that they were illegally present in the United States. There was also four people lying in the truck's rear floor area.
Other agents arrived to assist and found five more people in the bed of the truck under a black tonneau hard cover which could only be opened from the outside,
During an immigration inspection, it was determined that 10 of the occupants were illegally present in the United States.
