YUMA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Border Patrol agents seized 1,658 pounds of marijuana over the weekend and arrested 12 illegal aliens.
On Dec. 4, Wellton Station Border Patrol agents seized 469 pounds of marijuana and arrested five illegal aliens in the desert.
On Dec. 5, Border patrol agents made two different arrests. The first happened in the morning when agents seized a vehicle that was carrying marijuana. They crossed over into the U.S. through the Colorado River. Six illegals ran back to Mexico and left their 719 pounds of marijuana.
That afternoon, agents seized two bundles of marijuana weighing 45 pounds.
On Dec. 6, agents found an abandoned ATV and 247 pounds of marijuana. Later that day agents arrested seven illegal aliens and seized 178 pounds of marijuana.
