Tucson Police says the scene is clear after an explosives scare at Broadway and Pantano.

The Hughes Federal Credit Union near Broadway and Pantano was evacuated while the TPD bomb squad checked a vehicle for explosives.

Sgt. Pete Dugan with Tucson Police tells KGUN9 that a man walked into the credit union and was talking about having explosives in his vehicle. He then exited the credit union and the employees called police.

The man barricaded himself inside the vehicle while hostage negotiators tried to get him to exit the vehicle, said Dugan.

TPD arrested the man with two counts of disturbing the peace, one count of trespassing, and one count possession of drug paraphernalia.
