MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Mesa police are investigating the discovery of a body in a canal.
Authorities say the body was reported Sunday morning and the death is being treated as suspicious.
Mesa fire officials say the body is that of an adult and had been in the water for a considerable amount of time.
Investigators are currently surrounding an area near Mesa Drive and Brown Road.
The investigation remains ongoing.
