HEBER, Ariz. (AP) - A popular trout fishing lake in eastern Arizona has reopened after authorities recovered the body of a man from Pine who drowned.

A Gila County dive team pulled 68-year-old Dan Boyd from Willow Springs Lake before noon Tuesday.

His body was taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

Authorities say Boyd was at the lake fishing with family members Monday evening. The family was preparing to leave when Boyd wanted to make another trip out on the lake in a small fishing boat.

It's unclear how he ended up in the water. Someone tried to rescue Boyd but wasn't able to pull his limp body to shore.

The lake southwest of Heber had been closed while authorities searched for Boyd and recovered the submerged boat.
