Dozens of bighorn sheep were relocated as part of an effort to re-establish bighorn populations in their natural habitat.
Arizona Game and Fish says 30 of the sheep, which were relocated last week, were taken near Tucson and placed in the Picacho Mountains.
Another 30 sheep were relocated from Morenci to just north of Payson.
AZGFD say establishing sub-populations of the sheep away from the larger herds could help in the case of a disease outbreak.
Each sheep was given an ear tag. Some were fitted with GPS collars for tracking purposes.
