TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A bicyclist died at the scene after being struck by a car on the northwest side, according to authorities.
Capt. Adam Goldberg with Northwest Fire District said the incident happened around 9:20 p.m at the intersection of Wetmore and Flowing Wells. Goldberg said the man riding the bike was not wearing a helmet. It was first reported to us that the man was in critical condition, but he later passed at the scene.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with authorities.
Eastbound Wetmore is completely closed and westbound Wetmore is restricted to one lane.
Pima County Sheriff's are investigating the incident.
