The Benson Police Department was able to identify the origin of a threat made to Benson Unified School District over the weekend.
Police say the threat originated in California and was intended for a school with the same initials as BMS.
The appropriate law enforcement agency was notified and is now investigating the threat.
The decision was made Sunday night to close all Benson schools Monday due to the threat.
