The hotter it gets in the desert, the happier business owners on Mount Lemmon get. People flocked to Summerhaven this weekend to escape the heat.
At the Cookie Cabin staff could barely keep up with an around-the-building line this afternoon.
Parents say the weather was so nice they didn't the long wait with their kids.
“You come up here, it's nice and cool. Actually a little cold with the breeze,” said Michael Olivas who came to Tucson to get away from the heat, he said.
Cookie cabin manager Samantha Beal says the restaurant had a record weekend, “In sales, cookies, pizza, we’re about to run out of everything, it’s just a great day,” she said.
Beal says Labor Day is a crucial time for them because it's the last big weekend until it snows.
