Between June 2016 and August 2017, 26-year-old Alejandro Arriola Valdez robbed four banks in the Tucson area and a credit union in Tempe.
On July 27, 2018, Valdez was sentenced to 51 months in prison.
Each of the banks was inside grocery stories and Valdez took between $448 to $2,784 per robbery.
A partial handprint found at the last bank robbery matched Valdez's hand, leading to his apprehension.
Prior to his sentencing, Valdez pled guilty to multiple counts of bank robbery.
