FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Eastbound Interstate 40 was closed for several hours Saturday about 15 miles (24 kilometers) east of Flagstaff due to what authorities said was a wrong-way crash.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said one person was killed but it could not immediately provide any information about additional possible injuries or circumstances of the early afternoon wreck.
The state Department of Transportation said the freeway reopened around 4 p.m. and that there likely would be continued delays as the backup cleared.
