ASARCO Teamsters Local 104 on strike are hosting a dinner to honor veterans who are on strike Sunday.
The dinner is at 5 p.m. at the Mission Strike Line, which is followed with a meeting to discuss the strike going into its fifth week.
Teamsters coordinator Dawn Schumann says it's an honor to cook for the members and the veterans who are on strike.
ASARCO Teamsters started a strike in October due to work conditions, benefits and pay.
A meeting with the company will take place on Nov. 14.
The Teamsters Local 104 statement says workers have gone nine years without a pay raise, and that ASARCO offered to give a third of workers with a pay raise but would freeze pension plans and double out-of-pocket health plan costs.
