Tucson firefighters responded to an art studio fire in the 700 block of North Alder Friday morning.

According to TFD, firefighters were able to extinguish the majority of the fire from the outside. Upon entering the building, the crew worked to protect the artwork inside until the flames were put out.

There was nobody inside the building at the time of the fire. The artists will be displaced from the studio but may be able to still work from home as firefighters saved some of their supplies.

Fire captain Andy Skaggs says it was an electrically caused fire.
