TUCSON, Ariz. — Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced an arrest warrant has been issued for an unlicensed HVAC repairman from Tucson who defrauded customers.

Arturo Juarez defrauded would-be customers out of approximately $85,000 by soliciting the customers for air conditioning repairs and replacements as a licensed contractor.

Juarez operated under a business named C&Cooling and Heating, which was not licensed through the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.

Prior Juarez pleaded guilty to one count each of theft and fraudulent schemes and artifices. He failed to appear for a sentencing on Nov. 19 at the Pima County Superior Court.

He is facing a sentence between a year and 12.5 years in prison.

The investigation was conducted by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the Marana Police Department, and the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Arturo Juarez is asked to contact 88-CRIME or the Attorney General’s Office at 602-542-7905.
