TUCSON, Ariz. — The Tucson Police Gang Unit arrested a man for murder after remains were found in an undeveloped desert area on the south side.
On August 14, officers were called to a ranch in the 12900 block of South Old Nogales Highway.
As police investigated, the asked the public for help to identify the victims tattoos.
On August 18, police were able to identify the victim as 29-year-old Romulo M. Bacarse.
As police learned more, they were able to obtain probable cause to arrest 18-year-old Humberto Chapetti for his involvement.
Detectives found him on November 14 at the Pima County Jail where he was being held on unrelated charges.
Chapetti was charged with First Degree Murder, Abandonment or Concealment of a Dead Body and Prohibited Possessor.
