PHOENIX (AP) - Police say an altercation between two men outside a Phoenix fast food restaurant ended with one shooting the other to death.
Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said in a news release Wednesday that 33-year-old Jose Ramon Amparano has been booked into Maricopa County Jail.
Amparano was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Investigators say Amparano and 28-year-old Christopher Daine Kabbash Kindred were arguing Tuesday around 11:45 a.m.
Police say Amparano pulled out a gun during their fight and wounded the victim.
Kindred was taken to a hospital where he died.
Thompson says Amparano fled the area on foot but officers found him soon after.
During his arrest, he admitted his involvement in the shooting.
It was not clear Thursday if Amparano had an attorney representing him.
