An armed robbery of a Wells Fargo at Sunrise and Kolb led to a police pursuit and search in midtown Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies have arrested 49-year-old Jason Wells in connection with the robbery.
Ryan Inglett with the Pima County Sheriff's Department says the suspect went into the Wells Fargo, showed a gun and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Witnesses told detectives that Wells was wearing a disguise that included a safety vest, a surgical mask, and a wig.
After the robbery, Wells fled in a black Jeep Cherokee and headed toward the area of Mabel and Country Club.
Deputies located the vehicle that matched the description and the license plate returned to a stolen car.
Deputies tried to stop the vehicle and Wells and another suspect fled the car on foot.
Jason Wells was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, unlawful use of means of transportation and unlawful flight from law enforcement.
Deputies are still investigating the identity of the second suspect.
