Arizona ranks top states in women opening businesses

If you're you're a woman and contemplating whether or not to take the leap and open your business - you might want to jump. 

A new study shows Women in business are flourishing in the United States. 

According to the National Association of Women in Business the number of firms are owned by women is 11.6 Million and the firms employ 9 Million. 

So how much are they generating in sales? 

According to the study - sales comes in at 1.7 Trillion!

The state of Arizona is in the top ten states where women-owned businesses have most increased their economic clout between 1997 and 2017.

Two women in Tucson  opened their first business - Inspired fitness last week. 

Jennifer Dahar and Amanda Boysun were engineers when they realized their passions lead them to fitness. 

After nearly a year of 

"I was very stressed out I needed an outlet -  I found a turbo kick class and I started taking every class I could and shortly ended up deciding that I wanted to teach too and help other people de-stress," says Dahar.

Boysun says, "fitness has become my life and a way of life. I was really unhealthy and a lot of people want to lose weight and feel better about themselves. I've been on a fitness journey for years."
