TUCSON, Ariz. — Tire Rack Street Survival program is working with Arizona students to improve driving skills Saturday.
The program will teach young drivers through hands-on exercises to practice real-world driving situations.
Students will learn in their own cars to develop skills that can be used in their daily driving practices like emergency braking and skid control, how to control unintended oversteer and understeer, and also how to avoid accidents.
The goal of the program is to teach students how to control a vehicle rather than operate one.
The event will be held at the Marana Regional Airport, 11700 W. Avra Valley Road from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The event is open to licensed students from ages 15-21.
The cost of the program is $95 per student.
