PHOENIX (AP) - The new director of Arizona State Parks and Trails says he hasn't yet toured the statewide system's entire inventory of parks so he doesn't have a favorite park yet.

But Bob Broscheid says he already knows what the agency needs most now: calm and stability.

Gov. Doug Ducey recently appointed Broscheid to head the Arizona agency to replace Sue Black.

She was fired last November following numerous complaints, including the bulldozing of potential archaeological sites to rush development of cabins and other improvements.

The 49-year-old Broscheid tells the Arizona Capitol Times that he's bringing his own approach and new vision to the job.

He graduated from Arizona State University in 1985 and worked for the state Game and Fish Department for 20 years before leading Colorado's Parks and Wildlife department.
