FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - The National Weather Service says a weather system will drop snow and rain in the high country in northern and eastern Arizona late Thursday and early Friday.

Forecasters say potential snowfall amounts starting Thursday afternoon and continuing into Friday range up to 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) of snow in Flagstaff and Williams and up to 2 inches (5 centimeters) in Grand Canyon Village, Heber and Window Rock.

The weather service's forecast for Flagstaff says weather will remain cold and unsettled through the weekend, with rain and snow possible each day.
