The Little Lotus Rescue and Santuary has received an influx of animals in desperate need.

Recently, the rescue received two dogs and a cat.

The cat came in with missing paws and legs.

"She has one full leg and she's missing three and she's going to need prosthetic limbs," says Sandy McPadden with Little Lotus Rescue and Sanctuary.

One of the dogs had their mouth taped or roped shut and the other had an ingrown collar.

"The collar may have been too tight and she has severe trauma to neck and throat," says McPadden.

But the rescue says, they have a bright future but they need help.

While they're not a shelter - their animals are brought in by good Samaritans then fostered.

"Because we're getting an influx, we just don't have one place to keep them, medicate and take care of them so we're hoping to build the Lotus House which will be a cabin," says McPadden.

The cabin will be one place where the most critical animals  can go and get the 24 hour care they desperately need.

"It needs to be wheelchair accessible because like you guys have seen we have handicap pets they have wheel chairs so they need to zoom in and out."
