The Amphitheater Governing Board voted unanimously (5-0) to appoint Todd Jaeger as the new superintendent of Amphitheater Public Schools on Tuesday.

Jaeger previously served as general counsel for the Tucson Unified School District. He also spent nearly two decades as associate to the superintendent at Amphitheater Public Schools.

We are confident Mr. Jaeger will lead our district to the next level and will continue to raise the bar for all Amphitheater Public Schools students and staff, said Amphitheater Governing Board President Jo Grant. “He brings a unique insight and depth of knowledge of the district to the position and demonstrates the desired skills and characteristics that were priorities for us as a Board.

I am thrilled to be returning ‘home’ and for the opportunity to serve our schools and the entire Amphitheater community,” said Jaeger. After 20 years in leadership at Amphi, I am excited to hit the ground running, while at the same time recognize that there is much for me to learn as I enter this new role. I want and need to know what our community — parents, teachers, students, taxpayers and community leaders — believe our District’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities to be.
