An American Airlines flight headed from Phoenix to Miami was diverted to Tucson after an issue was reported with an onboard oven.
According to an American Airlines spokesperson, the unplanned landing was made out of an abundance of caution. The aircraft landed safely and without incident.
After a maintenance inspection, there was no evidence of a fire, the spokesperson said.
The flight is slated to continue on to Miami as planned.
