TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County officials say Amazon is looking to hire thousands of people in southern Arizona.
The county has been helping the massive online retailer fill positions at its new fulfillment center warehouses in Tucson, which is built for up to 3,000 employees.
Gerri Brunson, who works with Pima County One-Stop, says the company has only two hiring requirements: applicants have to be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma. Applicants don't even need a resume, Brunson said.
Brunson also said the company is touting very flexible schedules for employees and is currently seeking full-time and part-time workers. Wages start at $15 an hour, though workers can make more in the evenings or on the weekends.
