TUCSON, Ariz. -- Altars lined Armory Park today as thousands gathered for the 14th annual Procession of Little Angels. This event comes one day ahead of the All Souls Procession.

Families came with their children, and were given an opportunity to celebrate or mourn the loss of loved ones who have passed, each in their own way.

The beat of the drums signaled the start of the procession. Families walked around Armory Park, in memory of their loved ones.

Earlier in the day, kids were invited to partake in various activities. Isabel Bartolucci, who came to the event with her mother and brother, was one of them.

“We’re painting wings over there and we walked in and there was a path of flowers, and pictures, and colorful things. I saw lots of ofrendas," Isabel Bartolucci told KGUN9.

The Bartolucci’s are visiting from New Jersey, and tell KGUN9 coming to this event was at the top of there list. Rachael Bartolucci says, this event was very unique.

“This event celebrates artistry, creativity, love, history, ancestry and the things that make people who they are and I wanted my family to be a part of that,” Rachael Bartolucci said.

They joined thousands of people who took part in a day where everyone can remember loved ones in their own way--regardless of what they believe in.

“I’m honored to be a part of this and to watch them create and learn and I know that they are going to remember this event forever,” added Rachael Bartolucci.

The 30th annual All Souls Procession will take place tomorrow from 4pm to 10pm. The walk will start at Grand Avenue, south of Speedway Boulevard. For more information on the route, click here.
