TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) The Allegro School of Music opened up a new location on the eastside.
Mayor Jonathan Rothschild attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday. The mayor says these schools are important because they give opportunities to students who may otherwise not have access to the arts.
The school credits itself as the largest music teaching facility in Tucson and now has two locations.
The celebration today included mariachis and scholarship opportunities for students.
The school has been open for 17 years and includes everything from violin lessons to rock band classes.
