TUCSON, Ariz. — If you're using Interstate 10 this holiday season, you might notice more digital message boards from the Arizona Department of Transportation.
To assist drivers stuck in traffic, ADOT is posting more estimated travel times between Phoenix and the New Mexico line.
“It’s great to expand travel time displays along I-10, especially ahead of the holiday travel period,” said ADOT Director John Halikowski. “I-10 is one of the state’s busiest key commerce corridors, so we want to provide drivers with information that can help with their highway travel.”
Travel times have already been listed on five message boards along I-10 and I-19 in the Tucson area for the past five years.
ADOT says it plans to extend the travel times program across the state over the next two months.
