The Arizona Department of Transportation says the owner of a Peoria business that provided Motor Vehicle Division services is charged with fraudulently obtaining bank loans by altering a vehicle title and misusing MVD databases.

Court records say 44-year-old Tamica Lachelle Goree pleaded not guilty Sept. 21 to four fraud charges.

ADOT says it began investigating after MVD discovered irregularities in records of Goree's business, Motor Vehicle Southwest.

According to ADOT. Goree fraudulently added her name to a Maserati sedan's title and then fraudulently removed the lienholder before using the vehicle as collateral for bank loans. ADOT says Goree also used databases to receive loans on a Porsche.

The MVD suspended Goree as a processor and closed her business.

Defense attorney Todd Nolan didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
