Adoption fees will be waived for "qualified and loving" families who are interested in adopting a pet from the Pima Animal Care Center this weekend.
PACC is joining in PetSmart's National Adoption Weekend from Friday until Sunday.
The shelter says dozens of dogs and cats will be available for adoption at PACC's five PetSmart locations and at the shelter itself, 4000 North Silverbell Road.
PACC says all pets will go their new families spayed or neutered, microchipped and will come with up-to-date vaccinations.
Adopting families will also receive a free vet visit voucher.
A standard $17 licensing fee will apply to all adult dogs that are adopted.
The event will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the five PetSmart locations.
Each location will have dogs and cats available except for the Grant and Swan location, which will only have cats.
The adoption special will take place from noon until 7 p.m. at PACC on Silverbell Road on Friday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the weekend.
