Hundreds of people celebrated Jewish Family and Children's Services of Southern Arizona at the Westin La Paloma on Sunday.  JFCS has been helping the community for 75 years by offering counseling and other community services.

Sunday's guest speaker was Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin with her longtime interpreter. Matlin was the first deaf actress in Hollywood to win an Oscar. Along the way she was told she wouldn't make it in the industry. She shared her fascinating life and inspirational story of not giving up.

JFCS raised more than $180,000 on Sunday.
