TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Habitat for Humanity can usually be seen building homes but today, a different kind of project took place.
A project called A Brush of Kindness helps fix the exterior of homes. Volunteers from the Santa Cruz Lutheran church were able to help finish a project that 95-year-old Edward Roman could not.
Roman, who is a retired engineer and a handyman, could not finish the paint job of his house himself.
"Habitat Tucson builds more than just homes," said T. VanHook, Habitat Tucson CEO. "These home repairs improve quality of life for families and safety on aging homes in Tucson, Marana, Green Valley, Amado and Sahuarita. We are helping seniors, veterans and families taking pride in their homes and neighborhoods."
Six additional exterior repair projects are scheduled for 2016 with many more in the process of being approved.
