CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Chandler say a 93-year-old man has died after a crash involving a golf cart and a car.
They say Clayton Hefty of Chandler was pronounced dead at a hospital Wednesday afternoon from injuries sustained in the collision.
Police say Hefty was driving a golf cart and tried to cross a street from one private parking lot to another.
They say the golf cart collided with a vehicle and Hefty was ejected and then taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Police say the driver of the vehicle involved in the fatal crash remained at the scene.
They say speed and impairment were not factors in the incident and no citations will be issued.
