Cities across the country including Tucson are celebrating the 7th Annual National Animal Rights Day.
A memorial service was held at Reid Park to remember the millions of animals who die every year by human hands.
The event featured free vegan food and entertainment.
One local organizer says the group is trying to get people to change the way they eat.
We are hoping to get them to choose a compassionate lifestyle, like a vegan lifestyle.
National Animal Rights Day is held on the first Sunday of June every year.
