As the search continues for the man who police say sexually assaulted a woman, then car-jacked her, and kidnapped the woman and her three year old son -- so does the reward. On Saturday, it grew from a $5,000 reward to a $7,500 reward.

Vic Williams is the landlord of the office building on Swan Rd. where the crimes occurred on Monday night -- and is heading a community-wide search for the suspect.

"This is a creepy, bad person that committed a heinous crime," he said. "He came in, sexually assaulted a woman, then took her and her child away and kidnapped them in their car. This guy is capable of bad things, he needs to get off the streets."

He's printed thousands of flyers with information of the suspect for volunteers to pass out to homes and businesses in the area. Jim Landis spent his Saturday morning going door to door in a Midtown neighborhood, speaking to people about what happened. He knows the victim, and was stunned when he heard what happened.

"It was a horrible, horrible act that he did on a very nice person," Landis said. "She was not deserving of any of this."

The woman and her child are safe now, but the suspect remains on the loose -- now for nearly a week.

"Somebody knows somebody who knows this guy," Williams said. "And we hope that by us doing this, we can help get leads to 88-CRIME, and those leads can go to Tucson PD."

Williams explained he hopes to hand out at least 5,000 flyers to the surrounding community over the next week.

"It's our duty as citizens, and concerned people in Tucson to do what we can to make a difference."

The suspect is described as a six-foot tall white man in his 40's or 50's with acne scars on his face. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call 88-CRIME.
