TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Fire Department responded to an apartment fire in the 1300 block of South 6th Avenue, just south of 22nd Street Wednesday around 2:15 p.m.

6th Avenue was closed for about an hour for fire operations.

Firefighters are still determining what caused the fire to start.

According to TFD, the fire was fought from the outside rather than the inside because of excessive fire damage.

The fire was able to be put out in less than half an hour from when firefighters first arrived.

Two residents were displaced because of the fire, a man in his 60's and a woman in her 50's. They are being helped by the American Red Cross.

No one was injured.
