GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities in Arizona have reported a 6-year-old child took his parents’ car keys and drove a pickup truck into a nearby home, causing a gas leak in the house.
The Glendale Police Department reported Tuesday that the officers responded to a car crash in a neighborhood about 20 miles northwest of Phoenix. Authorities say only one person in the home suffered minor injuries. The child is OK. Police say the boy woke up in the middle of the night, grabbed his parents’ keys and made it three houses down before crashing into the fourth home.
The Glendale Fire Department pulled the truck from the home around 7:30 a.m. An investigation is ongoing.
