TUCSON, Ariz. — Four tasty Tucson spots were named semifinalists for the 2020 James Beard Awards Wednesday.
The annual honors recognize outstanding chefs, restaurants, journalists, authors, and more in the food and beverage industy.
These hometown favorites made the list:
Don Guerra, Barrio Bread - Outstanding Baker
Mi Nidito Restuarant - Outstanding Hospitality
Stephen Paul and Amanda Paul, Hamilton Distillers (Whiskey Del Bac) - Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Producer
Maria Mazon, Boca Tacos y Tequila - Best Chef: Southwest (AZ, NM, NV, OK)
The final Restaurant and Chef nominees will be announced in Philadelphia on Wednesday, March 25.
