PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say four adults were seriously injured when struck by at least one vehicle on a street in central Phoenix early Friday morning.

Fire Capt. Rob McDade says responding crews found the three women and one man people in various points of the roadway and that one of the women was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition.

McDade said the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at North Seventh Avenue and West Camelback Road.

Phoenix police said a vehicle that hit the pedestrians did not stop and left the scene.
