3rd annual Southern Arizona Opioid Prevention Symposium for those impacted by substance abuse

TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Community Prevention Coalition and the Medicine Abuse Prevention Initiative Collaborative are presenting the 3rd annual Southern Arizona Opioid Prevention Symposium.

The Symposium will be on October 30, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Casino del Sol, 5655 West Valencia Road.

Presenters at the Symposium include; medical fields, substance misuse prevention organizations, government agencies, and law enforcement all discussing the Opioid epidemic, and other substance abuse.

The purpose behind the Symposium is to bring awareness about Opioid misuse, educate, offer effective prevention, and treatment strategies.

The goal of the Symposium is to focus on Southern Arizona counties and resources available for those impacted by the Opioid crisis.

Attendance fee is $65 which includes the Symposium, a continental breakfast, refreshments during breaks, and a lunch.
