Evacuations are underway near Elgin due to a 5000-acre wildfire.
According to Tiffany Davila with Arizona State Forestry, the Babo Fire is burning five miles Southeast of Elgin and Northwest of Babacomari Ranch.
At 6:15 p.m. it was 10% contained.
Davila says increased winds is causing the fire to spread, but the flames are spreading away from the ranch.
The fire is being driven by the wind and increasing in size due to the winds and the grassy vegetation its moving through that's why you see such an explosion in acreage. Once the sun goes down tonight and the temps dip down the fire should burn out on its own, Davila said.
Roughly 30 people have been evacuated off Research Ranch Road near the ranch.
