PHOENIX (AP) - A west Phoenix car crash that killed a 27-year-old woman now has claimed the life of her young daughter.
Phoenix police say 3-year-old Litzi Robledo died at a hospital Monday from injuries suffered in the Sunday night crash on West Van Buren Street.
They say the child's mother, Tania Robledo-Muniz, was pronounced at the scene of the accident.
Police say a pickup truck travelling at a high rate of speed crossed over to oncoming traffic and collided with a sedan occupied by Robledo-Muniz and her daughter.
The girl was transported to a hospital in extremely critical condition.
Police say the unidentified male driver of the pickup truck remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Investigators say speed and impairment are suspected factors in the fatal collision and charges still are under review.
