2019 brings new emojis

Posted
and last updated

Dozens of new emojis will soon be available to spruce up your text messages, according to a list from the Unicode Consortium.

Some of the new emojis will represent people with disabilities. There's a manual wheelchair and a motorized wheelchair, a probing cane, an ear with a hearing aid (available in several skin tone options), mechanical arms and legs, and a service and guide dog.

Some of the other, more random, new emojis on the list are an onion, garlic, waffle, stick of butter, a sloth, an otter, and a juice box.
