Authorities say two men have died in the crash of a small plane in rugged terrain north of Prescott.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said the single-engine Cessna was found during an air search Saturday afternoon. Rescue crews on the ground were directed to the crash site, and confirmed the men were dead.
The sheriff's office identified the dead as Spencer Kihlstrom and Jeremiah Linnertz, both 19 years old and from Chino Valley.
The pilot of the plane based out of Prescott Airport had not been heard from since Friday. Deputies said the Yavapai County sheriff's rescue helicopter set out looking for the missing plane, and crew members spotted the wreckage east of Paulden.
