CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in a Phoenix suburb say two officers have been shot and a suspect is dead.
Chandler police spokesman Seth Tyler says the shooting happened Saturday morning at a Walmart store.
Tyler says both officers are hospitalized in stable condition.
According to police, the officers were called to the Chandler store to remove a trespasser.
The shooting erupted upon their arrival.
It is still considered an active scene.
