PHOENIX (AP) - One of the security checkpoints in terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport remained closed late Monday morning as police officers investigate an unattended package.
The package prompted officials to shut down two checkpoints in the terminal, but one of the two was later reopened.
Eight gates were evacuated near the checkpoint that remains closed.
Airport officials say Southwest Airlines is using buses to move its passengers in the closed area to another concourse so they can catch flights.
The airport's aerial train has been stopped, but buses are still running.
They recommended that travelers arrive early at the airport for their flights.
