TUCSON, Ariz. - A Canyon del Oro High School student was arrested Wednesday, for allegedly threatening the school's safety.

A parent of a CDO student reported that her son saw a threat made online, warning students not to attend school.

In response to the report, Oro Valley Police increased officer presence at the school on Wednesday, while working to determine the threat's validity of the threat.

School resource officers worked with Amphitheater school officials to identify the 15-year-old student who allegedly made the threat. He has been charged with interference with an educational institution, and was booked into the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center.
