PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police have released the identity of a 10-year-old girl who has died after being wounded along with her father in a shooting that police say have started with a traffic dispute.
Police said Summerbell Brown and her 30-year-old father were hit Wednesday evening when a man in a pickup truck that had been following the family's car opened fire as the family pulled into their driveway. Two other family members in the car weren't injured.
The shooter hasn't been identified but police said he's believed be 30 to 40 years old who was driving a white Ford F150 four-foot pickup with dark-colored trim on the bottom.
KTVK-TV reports that the father, whose name was not released, told the station in an off-camera interview outside the family home Thursday morning that the shooting occurred after he got out of the car to confront the man who was following him.
