TUCSON, Ariz. — One person is hospitalized Monday afternoon after a shooting near Flowing Wells Road and Miracle Mile, according to the Tucson Police Department.
It happened on North El Tovar Avenue, which is closed to traffic while police investigate. Police say the victim was seriously injured, and no one was arrested.
A nearby school -- Walter Douglas Elementary -- was locked down after the shooting, but wasn't involved in the incident, police said.
It's the second shooting reported in Tucson Monday afternoon. The first happened near First Avenue and Limberlost.
