"Odd couple" at Arizona Humane Society looking for a forever home

Posted

A unique pair of best friends at the Arizona Humane Society is up for adoption and ready to live life to the fullest.

Officials at the humane society say animal rescuers found Jefe, a Chihuahua, lying on top of Jericho, a malnourished, tick-infested German Shepherd.

As Jericho was being placed into a pet ambulance, Jefe was frantic to have been separated from his best friend.

It was then clear that this unlikely pair had an unbreakable bond.

The two have spent time recovering in the humane society's trauma hospital and are now ready to join a forever home.

Humane society officials say that Jericho has a mild case of Valley Fever which means he will need to be on a daily medication.

Besides that condition, Jericho is able to live an active and happy lifestyle!

The pair's adoption fee has been waived in exchange for a home a proper home that can tend to Jericho's medical needs.
